My ideal new Zenith cal 135 chronometer . . .

. . . would be similar to this . . . [photo credits: Bill Sohne] . . . cased in steel. And preferably < 38 mm diameter.

Going by memory the original cal 135 chronometers were 36 . . .

. . . and 36.5 mm. I'd prefer as exacting an homage as possible, ok with 37 mm. I would buy one if price was < $20K out the door in addition to being aesthetically acceptable. (We have sales tax in Cali.)

I'd be a candidate for an SLGW005 . . .

. . . like Robin's . . . . . . when GS releases a version with a black dial. (Let's provisionally call it SLBW006.) My ultimate dilemma? GS offers what I want, Omega releases a manual wind Rail, and Zenith puts out a steel cal 135 chronometer. All at the

Really keen to see if a steel version of the recent Cal .135 GFJ materialises

I was looking at IWC Portuguese hand wounds like the IW5454-04 recently, but at 44mm they are large and sparse. I felt Zenith could and should produce something really great in a compact form, 'regular' dial, I read somewhere that the vision was to expand

Zenith Cal 135.

Non Chronometer: And for the comparison, the Chronometer version. It must be my favorite vintage Zenith movement. Enjoy, Nicolas
